LEEDS: xvi (preface) + xvii (life of the Author) + 268pp. inc. vignette + frontispiece & 7 plates + 16 pedigrees, with - MUSAEUM: 123 + 159 + 12 pp.+ 3 plates. There is a series of mis-numberings in the pagination but the text appears continuous. Modern full leather binding with 5 raised bands to spine, blue endpapers, t.e.g. elephant folio - 15" - 23" tall Half title page heavily thumbed and stained to corners, frontispiece creased and marked but no loss of image. Final page has corner tears and folds, no loss. The title page has a small crest tipped in below Dunham's name. Foxing is patchy but obscures no text or images and may be associated with the different paper stocks apparently used in this volume. All plates and pedigrees are present as called for. binding is sound. Second Edition 'with notes and additions by Thomas Dunham Whitaker'.

404 + 88 + 2 pp. inc.18 vignettes + 15 pedigrees and Frontispiece & 53 plates (2 coloured) as called for; plus 3 plates and 2 pedigrees which are not in the 'Directions to the Binder'. There are various mis-paginations but the text appears uninterrupted. Modern full leather with 5 raised bands and blue endpapers. An early bookplate is tipped in to the fep and a small illustration is tipped in to the title page. Elephant folio (18 inches tall). The front edge has been subject to knocks or pressure and some of the pages edges are marginally curled and darkened. There is random slight foxing with only 8 pages in the Appendix severely affected - no loss of text or images.
