Vol. I binding cracked. Marginal pencil annotations. This work is part of a series of historical documents from 'the Invasion of the Romans to Henry VIII' published on the recommendation of The Master of The Rolls from the 1860s onwards and paid for by H.M. Treasury. It includes (Vol.I) The Ecclesiastical History of Durham, 6 lesser works incl. a History of St Cuthbert, a 'letter' concerning the Archbishops of York and a poem in Anglo-Saxon on Durham.
